Christmas Menu

Do you love hosting holiday dinners? I do! For some it can cause a lot of stress, but I absolutely love planning a menu! Day to day cooking sometimes wears me down – I don’t know what to cook, or I get bored; but there’s something about cooking a feast for family that I love!

It’s probably why my favorite cookbooks are centered around different holidays and celebrations, rather than just random recipes sorted into categories. One of my all-time favorite cookbooks is Around the Table (this is an affiliate link).

While most of my menu items are pretty standard (I’m not one to take too many cooking risks!) but I do like to mix up some of the sides now and then. When I find a good side, I add it to my cooking “toolbelt” so I can easily grab it when needed!

Menu

Turkey (we aren’t big fans of ham)

Homemade cranberry sauce (it’s really so simple to make this!)

Whipped potatoes (I sometimes like to spice it up with garlic or parsley and chives)

Corn (I love me some corn no matter what the season)

Roasted Carrots with Rosemary

Roasted Sweet Potatoes

Stuffing

Fluffy dinner rolls

Spiced Zucchini Bread

Gravy (pretty sure the hubs would disown me if we didn’t have gravy…)

And for dessert…pumpkin and blueberry pie 🙂

Do you like to cook large meals? Do you cook the same thing each year or do you like to try new recipes? Let me know in the comments!
