Living an intentional life is neither instantaneous or a destination. It’s a journey.
It’s about learning what you value in life and making that a top priority. It means being 100% present for the things that matter to you. It means making decisions with the utmost intention, so you can live your life in alignment with your values. It means living each day with purpose knowing you get to create your destiny.
Living an intentional life is imperfectly perfect. There will be projects at work that stress you out. You may get busy with all the after-school curricular activities your children have. There will be months when your budget is derailed. However, it’s recognizing those moments and learning how to respond to them in order to live your best life – one of contentment and happiness. Your life journey will provide you many lessons to learn and grow from.
The best part about living a life of intention though is that you feel whole. You live your life according to what your values are and what you want your life to look like – not according to other’s expectations or standards. It’s a journey towards your own freedom where you truly find happiness.
As we head into a new year and a new decade, what do you want your intentional life to look like? What are you striving for?
